About Us

Herons Dale Primary School is a federated school together with Palatine Primary School, Oak Grove College and Cornfield School. We are a Community Special School for pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties and associated special needs.



We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Autumn 2025 to join our team. The role will join an established team of HLTAs working across the school to support with leading classes as well as having an area of responsibility.



The working pattern is 8.30am-4pm, Monday to Friday. Part time applicants would be considered.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to have:


Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and on own. Experience in leading classes/sessions. The ability to lead in a specific area that has school wide impact. Experience in running suitable interventions around the school to support pupils. Knowledge of the school development plan. Willingness to learn and upskill to better support the school. An ability to use your own initiative, prioritising tasks and managing your own time.
