We are looking for a passionate Hockey Coach to lead training and fixtures for 5.5 sessions a week (Wednesdays 12:00-16:00 and Fridays 09:00-11:00)

Information About The Post

Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as 'outstanding' in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.



The role of the Coach is to organise, supervise and guide the team during weekly organised training sessions and matches. This will include driving to and from fixtures. The contract is for 5.5 sessions a week working Wednesdays from 12:00 to 16:00, and Friday 9:00 - 11:00 starting as soon as possible and ending 1st April 2026. Some fixtures may fall on other days throughout the year and so some flexibility would be ideal. Additional hours may be paid on a claims basis as agreed with the Head of Enrichment. We hope to be able to offer further contracts in future years.



The successful applicant will have a passion for the sport and a coaching qualification at Level 2 or above and will also either have, or be willing to acquire, first aid and MiDAS qualfications. It is vital that you enjoy coaching young players of all abilities.
