FUNDA are launching two new venues in the Burscough and Tarleton area or Lancashire and are looking for enthusiastic coaches to work at our award-winning holiday camps.
Job Summary
As a
FUNDA Holiday Camp Coach
, you'll play a key role in delivering
fun, safe, and engaging holiday camp experiences
for children aged
4-11
. You'll support children's physical activity, confidence, and social development through a wide range of structured and creative activities.
Your goal is simple:

Key Responsibilities:
Activity Planning & Preparation
Plan and deliver
age-appropriate (4-11)
daily activity sessions
Support a varied programme including:
Sports and games
Arts and crafts
Team-building challenges
Creative and educational activities
Adapt activities to suit different abilities, confidence levels, and needs
Activity Delivery & Engagement:
Lead activities in a
fun, energetic, and inclusive
way
Clearly demonstrate activities and encourage positive participation
Provide guidance and encouragement to support skill development
Promote good behaviour, teamwork, and respect
Safety & Supervision:
Maintain
high standards of safeguarding and supervision
at all times
Follow FUNDA policies, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
Ensure children's wellbeing during activities, transitions, and breaks
Respond calmly and appropriately to accidents, incidents, or concerns
Positive Role Modelling:
Act as a
positive role model
, showing enthusiasm, professionalism, and care
Create a welcoming environment where children feel safe to:
Try new things
Build friendships
Grow in confidence
Support children emotionally and socially throughout the day
Communication & Teamwork:
Communicate effectively with:
Children
Parents/guardians (when required)
Fellow coaches and camp leaders
Share relevant information, updates, and concerns with the team
Work collaboratively to ensure smooth day-to-day camp delivery
Equipment & Environment:
Help set up, pack away, and care for equipment and resources
Carry out basic equipment checks and report any issues
Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised activity environment
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience working with children in a
camp, school, childcare, or sports setting
Confident, enthusiastic, and engaging personality
Ability to lead groups and keep children motivated
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, reliable, and caring approach
Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing situations
Desirable (But Not Essential)
First Aid & CPR qualification (or willingness to complete training)
Understanding of child development and inclusive practice
Experience delivering sports, games, or creative activities
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
