Role Overview



The Lead Holiday Camp Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and safe activity sessions for children during school holiday programmes. This role oversees the daily running of camp activities, supports a team of coaches, ensures safeguarding and health & safety standards are met, and maintains a positive, energetic camp environment. The Lead Coach acts as a role model for children and staff, fostering confidence, teamwork, and fun.

Skills & Experience



Essential



Experience leading activities or coaching children aged 5-12. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions. Knowledge of behaviour management and child safeguarding practices. Reliable, organised, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Enhanced

DBS

(or willing to obtain one)

Safeguarding

First Aid

certificates (or willing to obtain one) Access to

Desirable



Relevant qualifications (e.g., coaching badges, childcare, sports science, education). First Aid certification. Experience in a camp, school, or youth sport setting. Additional skills such as performing arts, outdoor activities, or specialist sports.
