Wild About Play -
We are a social business that is passionate about community, child as well adult wellbeing and the great outdoors We combine forest school philosophy, Montessori, Reggio's way of learning, and neuroscience findings to nurture children through play in the outdoors. The Role -
Camps Educator and Lead
If you're a qualified teacher with leadership capability who is passionate about outdoor, child-led learning, this is a brilliant opportunity to lead our camps and work during school holidays.

Oasis Academy Putney, 184 Lower Richmond Road, London
Responsibilities -
As a dynamic teacher you will lead a driven team to deliver outdoor camps that are anchored in the forest and in community. Our camps are popular and well established within the community delivering high quality play occasions, creativity, exploration and foraging for children 3 to 8 years old. We are now looking for someone to take these to the next level.
Fostering a safe, positive environment for learners, you will:
Lead a team of practitioners in all aspects of operational practice
Follow children's interests and enhance their learning through play in nature
Plan and deliver engaging sessions to children
Build positive relationships with parents and guardians
About You -
To join us as our Camps Lead you will need:
Experience as a qualified teacher
Qualified to Level 3, level 5 in Early Years, QTS or PGCE
A passion for creative, outdoor, child-led learning
The ability to work creatively with music, arts and the outdoors to inspire children
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work closely with parents and child development practitioners
Leadership with empathy and by being a great role model with a "let's make it happen" attitude
Additional skills that could be an advantage to your application:
Experience of other methods of teaching including: Forest school, Reggio Emilio, Montessori, and Steiner
A Forest School Leader qualification
First Aid training

We are based outdoors and are lucky to also have wonderful indoor facilities that our children and staff can retreat to. We are an inclusive, supportive team where working together is a great learning experience and is above all fun. We have shorter working hours (8:30am to 4:30pm).
