Summary

We are seeking an Assistant to join our team at Cylch Meithrin Cei Newydd. In this role, you will support the daily activities of our nursery, helping to provide a safe and engaging environment for our children. Your contributions will be vital in promoting early childhood development and ensuring each child receives the attention they need.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing educational activities for children aged 2 to 6 years. Support the lead staff in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all children. Engage with children during playtime and learning activities to encourage development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and needs. Help manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Basic knowledge of English is preferred; additional language skills are a plus.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 5 weeks

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
