Fun Science runs hands-on scientific holiday clubs for children aged 4-10 in

Southdown, Bath

. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and assist with the children, helping them with their activities, ensuring their wellbeing is taken care of and helping with general tasks such as setting up and clearing up activities.

Activities may include rocket building, slime making, conducting simple experiments and much more. The successful candidate would be enthusiastic, energetic and have a passion for working with primary aged children. We will expect you to be self motivated - able to spot what needs doing and do it without needing to be asked.

You would be available to assist at our holiday clubs throughout the new academic year:

28th October to 30th October 22nd & 23rd December 17th to 19th February 14th to 16th April 26th to 28th May
We run these in every school holiday. Your hours will be

9.45am - 3.15pm

with the potential for extra hours at Stay n Play, which is an additional hour before and after.

Please do still apply if you can attend the majority of these dates but not all, as we are open to being flexible for the right candidate. There is the opportunity for future work for us following these dates, and if it's of interest, the opportunity to also taken on additional hours leading our term-time after school clubs.

If you have children over the age of 4, you may be able to bring them with you subject to discussion and prior approval. The ability to pass an enhanced DBS check and experience working with children in the target age range is essential. You must not apply for this job if you are on the barred list or have been disqualified from working with children.

Providing false information is an offence and could result in the application being rejected or summary dismissal if the applicant has been selected, and referral to the police and/or the DBS.

Pay: 12.50 per hour (with potential to increase)
