Job Description

Are you a Teaching Assistant, Student Teacher, Teacher, Early Years Worker looking for extra work during the Chorley or Preston School Holidays??





The Job:

To provide a caring, secure environment, through individual attention and group activities, and to organise an appropriate range of leisure activities for children from the age of 3 years. To provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities including preparing activities, organisation programmes and arranging equipment. To supervise Play Workers and support other team members in delivering activities. To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, good practice, club policies and procedures To promote the high standards of the club at all times to parents, staff and visitors To report back to the management team as required with information relating to staff, children, activities, quality of the provision and anything else deemed necessary
The Commitment:

This role is available for Mondays - Fridays of school holidays, excluding bank holidays, from 7:30am - 6.00pm per day.

Zero hour contract.

Eccleston Primary School- Eccleston, Chorley

Euxton Primrose Hill Primary School- Euxton, Chorley

St Leonards Primary School- Walton-le-dale, Preston

Salary and benefits:



11.50- 14.00 per hour depending on age, qualifications and experience Additional holiday pay per hour Age 18+
We are looking for:

Someone who loves to see children of all ages enjoying different activities and having fun. You'll be friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work closely with the management team to ensure that the club organisation and administration is of the highest quality.

We are looking to expand our Fun Fest team in Chorley & Preston! We are looking for Early Years Qualified or Unqualified Play Leaders for Summer 2025 and potentially further holidays.

Essential Qualities



1 year proven experience of working with 3 to 12 year olds Level 2 or 3 in a recognised Early Years Qualification or QTS (Qualified) Understanding the varied needs of children and their families Understanding the issues of equal opportunities Provide and facilitate safe and creative play Good communication skills Able to work as part of a team Sound judgement and common sense Experience of working within a play-based setting Ability to work on own initiative

Desirable Qualities



Paediatric First Aid Certificate DBS registered on the update service Level 1 Child Safeguarding Food Hygiene Certificate
Specific Fun Fest Holiday Club training will be provided to successful candidates.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 11.50-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
