Holiday Club Programme
During the school holidays (mid July - end of August) , we run an exciting and engaging Holiday Club programme, offering children a safe and fun space to enjoy a variety of activities and learn new skills. The holiday club is an integral part of our school's commitment to supporting families, working parents and enhancing the educational experience of our students even during the school holidays.
Role Overview
:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Holiday Club Leader/Coordinator to join our team during the summer school holidays. This role is available across all Forfar Education Group schools, from Bournemouth to Lisbon. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our holiday club, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children. As the Holiday Club Leader, you will manage a team of staff, coordinate activities, and ensure the wellbeing of every child in your care.

Key Responsibilities
:
Be responsible for the overall wellbeing and happiness of the children in your camp.
Deliver a program of daily activities suitable for the age range of the children in a safe environment.
Plan and coordinate a wide range of fun and educational activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor games, team-building exercises, and themed days.
Promote the ethos of Forfar Education Group, acting as an exceptional role model to the assistants and children in the camp.
Ensure the correct equipment is available for each day's activities.
Promote exceptional safeguarding practices at all times, adhering to our Safeguarding Policy and procedures.
Ensure the security of the premises during activities and upon departure, including locking rooms and using door codes.
Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, meeting and greeting parents and children.
Accompany children to different activities, supervise lunch, and facilitate open play sessions.
Manage staff breaks throughout the day and provide cover as needed.
Keep accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and other administrative duties.
Qualifications and Experience
:
Experience working with children, ideally in a school or holiday club setting.
Knowledge of child safeguarding, first aid, and health and safety practices.
A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or youth work (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Playwork, or equivalent).
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
Desirable Skills
:
Experience running or working within a Holiday Club setting.
Ability to work successfully in a busy environment as part of a friendly team, engaging with parents, staff, and children.
Creative thinking and adaptability in various situations.
A genuine passion for working with children.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
First Aid qualification (or willingness to undergo training).
