Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented holiday let housekeeper/cleaner to manage and clean our Lynford Gardens holiday cottages in a beautiful rural setting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, has a passion for hospitality, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role can be available as a job share.

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare holiday cottages for guest arrivals, including changing bedding, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and ensuring all areas and appliances are spotless. Restock essentials (e.g. toiletries, kitchen supplies, towels) and ensure each cottage is welcoming for new guests. Perform routine checks of the properties to ensure appliances and equipment are in good working order. Arrange additional cleaners when required Manage online bookings, invoicing, check-in and check-out processes, including key handovers and communicating with guests. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a memorable stay by being responsive to their needs and dealing with enquiries in a timely manner. Address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Collaborate with maintenance personnel for any repair needs.

Requirements

Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning essential. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Willingness to be flexible in their duties and shift patterns Friendly and approachable with strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Must have own transport due to the rural location.

Experience

Flexible hours to fit around your schedule but must include weekend shifts. Competitive hourly rate. Opportunity to work in a peaceful, scenic rural environment. Potential for additional responsibilities (such as guest liaison or property management) for the right candidate.
