Windrush Care is looking for people of all backgrounds and experience to provide genuine person-centred care and much needed support to older people in the Cheltenham and North Cotswolds area. Windrush Care is a small, independent and family-owned business based in the centre of Cheltenham. We provide our services to a predominantly private group of clients whom are able to continue living in their own homes.



What we offer first and foremost to our existing and future home carers, is flexibility. Most of our other carers work around other jobs. family life and we truly believe in a healthy work-life balance.



We offer a competitive hourly wage of -

12.70 per hour (Mon-Fri) 14.70 per hour (Weekends) + enhancements for Bank holidays as well as 40p per mile (From home to first call and onwards, then back home)

We are currently offering a 20 hour per week contract for candidates who have any availability between the hours below.

07.00am - 14.30pm Week 1 (Mon-Fri) / Week 2 - (3 days in week and weekend)


Extra hours are available if required,

Online training (learn at your own speed in the comfort of your sofa) Face to face training - Moving and Handling, Medication, Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid Specialist training and staff development are key goals for Windrush Care, access to specific training including Dementia, Palliative Care and Parkinson's etc throughout your employment. Opportunity to complete QCF Level 2-5 in Adult Health and Social Care after 6 months of continued employment. (Dependent on role) Access to all training certificates after 6 months of continued employment at no cost to you. Paid holidays and Enhanced bank holiday rates Monthly pay On-call support 7 days a week, 24 hours a day + Supportive office team - open door policy. Free DBS check Free uniform and PPE Paid shadow shifts Festive company events - who doesn't like a party? Ongoing support from our care management team whom are always at hand, even if it's just for a chat Clear and concise pay scales.... with nothing hidden. For one hour of work - you will be paid our stated hourly rate (dependent on weekdays and weekends)
