Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Home Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires effective communication skills, a good understanding of care plans, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of care.

Working days : Monday to Friday and the hours would be starting at 7am until 9am then lunchtime 12-2pm then bedtimes 6pm-9.30pm . Ideal for those wanting school hours.

Area: South Area of Blackburn Lancashire Darwen/ Lower Darwen/ Mill Hill/ Pleasington

Responsibilities

Deliver personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences outlined in care plans. Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being. Ensure the home environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the client's health. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is ESSENTIAL . Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and their families. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as necessary. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-13.68 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
