Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in the role of Home Care Assistant. This position is vital in providing support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, ensuring they maintain a high quality of life. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and committed to enhancing the well-being of our clients through personalised care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care services including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate supervisor. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols. Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, providing companionship and emotional support.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently. Empathy and compassion towards clients' needs and circumstances. Basic understanding of health care practices or experience in a similar role is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 18.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
