About the role
We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic person to join our housing solutions team as a Home Choice Assistant.
You would be working in our Home Choice and Lettings Team to help customers with their applications for social housing via our Home Choice register. This is a varied and busy role assisting customers, assessing applications, and answering enquiries.
This is a one-year contract, during which you will gain useful experience in housing, which will be an advantage to anyone who is looking for a housing career. The role will be based at the Town Hall, but there are opportunities to work from home. Working days/hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
About you
- A good standard of written and spoken English.
- Proficient at IT, including Word applications.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An ability to deliver a high standard of customer service with excellent communication skills and an empathetic and understanding attitude.
- A background or interest in housing and homelessness would be an advantage.
