We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of senior care, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires effective management of care plans, medication administration, and collaboration with nursing and professional medical staff to enhance the overall well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Lead and manage a team of caregivers and nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in care home operations.
Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health and well-being, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.
Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to promote transparency and trust.
Manage daily operations including staffing schedules, training programmes, and quality assurance measures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Experience
Previous experience in a leadership role within a care home or assisted living setting is essential. Ideally having already managed a care service and achieved good in all areas with CQC.
Good knowledge of all CQC regulations and associated legislation in managing care homes.
A background in relevant healthcare or nursing qualifications is highly desirable.
Proven ability to manage care plans effectively while demonstrating strong organisational skills.
Experience in medication administration and knowledge of senior care best practices is preferred.
You will have already been overseeing the daily operations, managing of staff through recruitment and training and handling administrative duties like budgeting and compliance with quality industry standards.
The role is also responsible for ensuring residents receive high quality, person centred care, acting liaison with families and other organisations and making strategi decisions for the homes future.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
We would ideally like the candidate to have a level 3-5 NVQ in Adult Social Care
