The Role



As Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational effectiveness of Heartly Green Care Home. You will ensure the highest standards of care, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and that the home runs smoothly both operationally and financially.

You will lead, inspire, and manage the care staff, maintaining a culture of person-centred care, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and motivate the care team to deliver safe, high-quality person?centred care. Ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory and legislative requirements. Oversee health & safety, safeguarding, infection control, and quality assurance processes. Manage budgets, staffing levels, recruitment, training, and staff performance. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and action plans to maintain and improve standards. Maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders. Monitor and ensure resident wellbeing, satisfaction, and quality of life. Ensure accurate and timely reporting and record keeping (e.g. care plans, risk assessments). Drive continuous improvement through auditing, feedback, and best practices.
Person Specification

Essential:



Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or similar senior role in adult social care. Strong understanding of UK care regulations, including CQC standards. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Good financial awareness: budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathy, dignity, and respect centred approach. NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.

Desirable:



Experience in dementia/elderly care. Additional qualifications in management, business, or leadership. Strong IT skills, ability to utilise care management software.
