Overview

As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised support to individuals in their homes. Your primary focus will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in need of care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Skills

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Ability to develop and follow care plans that meet individual client needs. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. Experience in home care or care home settings is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and provide empathetic support. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
