Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a positive and respectful environment. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans tailored to each client's needs.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing etc. Support clients in meal preparation and nutritional needs. Help with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Accompany clients on outings or appointments, providing transportation as needed (a valid driving licence is preferred). Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in client condition. Document daily activities and report any concerns or changes in client health status. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans accurately and adhere to health and safety regulations. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are beneficial. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
