Hours: 08:30 - 16:30, Monday - Friday - 52 weeks



Landmarks is an independent specialist day college for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties. The college offers a wide range of programmes that are tailored to each individual's needs.

Landmarks operates from several sites across; Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, with our main site located in Eckington, S21 4EF.

Landmarks has several satellite provisions in Rotherham, Nottingham city Centre and a "real-life" hospitality and catering facility in Rainworth, Mansfield. These environments enable us to provide a range of personal and vocational training opportunities including:

Our staff are required to work on a range of different sites, including; college campuses, employer's premises or communities local to your learners home - therefore willingness to travel is essential. There may be a requirement to transport learners in your own car, insurance implications are reimbursed. Mileage and expenses are provided for travel during the working day.



Main Responsibilities:



Your responsibilities will include, but are not restricted to:

Curriculum Delivery



Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching sessions in horticulture and land-based studies, both accredited and non-accredited for young adults with additional needs studying between Entry 1 and Level 2. Develop a seasonal curriculum that promotes continuous production and variety of crops. Embed employability, communication, and independence skills into all learning activities. Use college systems to record learner progress, achievement, and behaviour in line with RARPA and accreditation requirements. Develop knowledge and understanding of small animal care with support from the Farm Manager, with the aim of delivering teaching across both horticulture and small animal care.

Enterprise and Site Management



Ensure the grounds, allotments, greenhouses, polytunnels and planted areas are well-maintained year-round. Integrate seasonal produce into college enterprise activities, including the Bistro, Public House, market stall sales and catering curriculum. Work in partnership with the animal care team to promote integrated 'Farm to Fork' and sustainability initiatives.

Learner Support and Safeguarding



Manage a Personal Tutorial group, providing pastoral support, liaising with families and professionals, and contributing to EHCP reviews. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive environment that meets the needs of learners with a range of additional needs. Promote positive behaviour and attitudes and challenge poor performance where appropriate.

Professional Development and College Contribution



Attend team meetings, training events and planning sessions as required. Contribute to college-wide events, promotional activities, open days and themed weeks. Support continuous improvement by contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.
