Overview

We are seeking a skilled Horticulture & Garden Machinery Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, with a focus on ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, as well as a commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Utilise hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks. Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as required. Conduct inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with other team members to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Motor Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A commitment to safety practices in an industrial environment. Horticulture mechanics would be preferred, but if you have an mechanical background with transferable skills that can be utilised, this would be considered.
