At Active Care Group, we're building a brighter future for young people. We're looking for a dynamic and compassionate
Hospital Director
to lead Ivetsey Bank Hospital, our specialist CAMHS Tier 4 service providing tailored inpatient care for young people with complex mental health needs.
As Hospital Director, you will be the senior leader on-site, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance and achieving operational excellence. This pivotal role blends strategic leadership with hands-on service management and requires a leader who can inspire teams, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and drive clinical and operational standards forward.
Our vision is to provide the collaborative, expert care that young people need and the kindness they deserve. As Hospital Director, you'll be at the heart of this mission, surrounded by a skilled team and the resources to make a real impact.
Be the difference in a young person's life. Lead with purpose.
What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
What you'll be doing:
Lead the hospital in line with Active Care Group's values, ensuring outstanding patient experience and safety.
Maintain compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements.
Drive service quality, financial performance, and bed occupancy.
Work collaboratively with local authorities, NHS commissioners, and other partners.
Provide clear leadership to multidisciplinary teams, supporting a positive, inclusive culture.
Ensure robust governance, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures are in place.
What you'll have:
Experience in a senior management role in a CAMHS or related healthcare setting.
A strong understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.
Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and drive service improvement.
Knowledge of regulatory bodies and governance within health and social care.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability Confident committed employer.
