What we are looking for
We are currently seeking a Hospitality and Sponsorship Operations Manager - FTC to join our Sales team, based in our offices at the racecourse in Ascot, Berkshire.

This is a full time, temporary role for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

What you'll be doing
The Hospitality and Sponsorship Operations Manager will be directly responsible for the delivery of best in-class fine dining hospitality and race sponsorship activation, whilst enhancing and implementing new processes to improve the customer experience.
?
Further, this position will ensure collaboration between cross-functional teams such as Marketing, 1711, Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Racing Team and Facilities.
?
The Hospitality and Sponsorship Operations Manager will help create and drive roadmaps to establish a world class sales operation and customer experience that will deliver a 'best in class' ethos.

Racing Operations

  • Manage the Fine Dining and Sublet Box customer processes from point sale to on day delivery.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in the on-day delivery process and find solutions to enhance internal processes and customer experience.
  • Manage, coordinate and communicate customer requirements with key stakeholders, including 1711, Operations and the Ticketing Team
  • Day to day lead for the fine dining systems Outbox and Zkipster
  • Work alongside the Senior Sales Manager and Sales Managers to review the Fine Dining product range and look at how the customer experience can be improved.
  • Be an operational focal point on racedays, working with the caterers and communicating and building relationships with restaurant managers.
  • Management and delivery of exclusive bookings for both retail sales and third-party sellers
  • Be confident in dealing with customers either on the phone or face-to-face.

Sponsors' Operations
  • Organise and act on pre-raceday information, such as catering requirements, branding allocations, digital presence, racecard advertising, race trophies, 'Best Turned Out' awards etc. and produce an accurate 'Arrangement Sheet' for each sponsor.
  • Liaise with and look after sponsors on racedays, including assisting with the judging of best turned-out horse awards, trophy presentations etc.
  • Assisting the sponsor with all branding questions and operational next steps after contract has been signed.
  • Assist with organising race sponsors' experiential activations on racedays.
Skills and experience you can bring
  • Proven relevant experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of what is best practise in the customer journey from sales to on-day delivery
  • Experience in managing key stakeholders (both internally and externally)
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to agreed timelines
  • Be a strong and convincing communicator
  • Strong attention to detail
