Job Summary


The Engineering Team Leader will oversee a dynamic team within our organization, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects and initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership skills to guide the team in delivering high-quality results while maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in food service management, with experience in various culinary environments, including quick service, casual dining, and fine dining.

Duties



Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Implement effective inventory control measures to optimize resource utilization. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient cash handling and transaction processing. Train and develop staff on best practices in food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service. Supervise kitchen operations, including shift management and team management to ensure smooth service delivery. Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in staff training programs to enhance team performance. Manage budgets related to food production and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of hospitality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards throughout all operations. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering services, banquets, and special events as needed.

Experience


Candidates should have a robust background in the food industry with experience in various roles such as:

Culinary experience in fast food or fine dining establishments. Restaurant management experience with a focus on customer service excellence. Proven leadership skills with supervisory experience in kitchen or hospitality settings. Familiarity with training & development practices within the food service sector. Experience with budgeting and financial management related to restaurant operations. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Previous roles may include assistant manager experience or barista/cafe management. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts, possess strong leadership capabilities, and are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Job Types: Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.50-14.50 per year
