Job Role
We are seeking to appoint a kind, organised and motivated Hospitality Assistant to join our team who will ensure that residents and visitors to the Home receive an efficient food service, always maintaining a clean working environment within the dining room and server.
Develop friendly and respectful relationships with Residents
Gets to know the residents and their lifestyle preferences
Serves all food and beverages at mealtimes as well as refreshments throughput the day.
Assists with feeding and drinking.
Complete daily records.
Ensure there is a provision of high standard of hospitality service.
Assist with organising and serving at special events, afternoon teas, and family gatherings
Inform the Chef of any individual requirements of residents.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout dining and hospitality spaces.
Work closely with kitchen, care, and housekeeping colleagues to maintain smooth service and high standards.
Adhere to all food safety, health, and infection control policies
To ensure that all training given is adhered to.
Ensure records and reports are properly written up.
Take responsible for promoting safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and Experience required
Previous experience in hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or care settings is desirable.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Smart personal presentation and strong attention to detail.
A positive team player with a flexible and caring approach.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
Warm, friendly, and approachable personality
Genuine passion for service and making people feel special.
Compassionate and respectful attitude towards older people.
Reliable and well organised.
Prepared to participate in the activities organised in the Home.
