As a Hospitality Host at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment for our residents so that we can give them the all-round care and support they deserve. You'll provide a friendly, engaging and helpful service in our dining room and bar areas, enhancing the lives of all our residents.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you'll be responsible for providing a welcoming and engaging experience for residents in the dining room and bar areas of the care home. You'll need to be personable, caring, and take a genuine interest in the residents, engaging with them and their families regularly. The role doesn't require any specific qualifications, but experience in a similar setting would be ideal. You'll also need to be over 18 to serve alcohol. We want our homes to be warm and welcoming with interesting events and first-class hospitality. As a Hospitality Host, you'll have an important part to play in making sure that happens. In particular, you'll provide a friendly, engaging and helpful service in our dining room and bar areas. It's a fulfilling role that will give you a real opportunity to enhance the lives of all our residents.
ABOUT YOUYou don't need any particular qualifications to join us as a Hospitality Host, but experience in a similar setting would be ideal. Personable and caring, you'll take a genuine interest in our residents, engaging with them and their families on a regular basis. If that sounds like you, we'll give you every opportunity to develop your skills further with courses that are designed to give you confidence in all aspects of your role. Because you might be serving alcohol, you'll need to be over the age of 18.
