The role of Hospitality Trainer is to support our students in running front of house service and to inspire and train them in all the intricacies of hospitality.

Working as part of a small team providing high quality instruction and technical training delivery to students that are acquiring life skills and building self confidence

You will assist in the provision of educational guidance and learning support in relation to the students' vocational course and ensure standards are maintained to a high level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist in the delivery of training and instruction according to the Individual's Learning Plans provide support for students with work-based learning qualifications where necessary and identified as relevant for the individual.

Contribute to the planning and design of individual learning programmes.

To provide appropriate support and guidance to students in line with their individual training programme.

Assist in the monitoring and tracking of student progress including all assessment activity.

Assess candidates working towards qualifications and ensure the maintenance of candidate portfolios and assessment records according to awarding body requirements.

Maintain accurate records.
To undertake all CPD required to maintain competence in the vocational area

Adhere to and promote all Starting Step policies and procedures, particularly Health and Safety (especially conduct and review risk assessments), Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding.

Evaluate, reflect on, and develop own practice, be responsible for own continuous professional development and maintaining accurate records of CPD.

Share good practice and contribute toward quality improvement within the organisation.
Be responsible for the maintenance of personal health and safety and development of best practice, as well as that of the students and colleges, as required by the charity, the Health and Safety Executive, and any other monitoring organisation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 13 per week
