Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding guest services will be essential in this role, whether you are greeting patrons at the door or managing reservations.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables. Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements. Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant. Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly. Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area. Help create a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Requirements

Previous experience in guest services within a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members. A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing excellent service. Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. A proactive approach to problem-solving and helping guests feel valued.
