Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
Develop and implement innovative menus in collaboration with management
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise resources
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure consistency in quality
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold efficiency and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
Demonstrable experience in managing a team within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience with menu development and food presentation skills
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service standards
Previous roles involving hospitality management or leadership are highly desirable
