The Assistant Hotel Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, providing exceptional guest services while supporting the Hotel Manager in various administrative and operational tasks. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to effectively supervise a team to maintain high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Duties
Assist in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Supervise and train hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.
Implement marketing strategies to enhance hotel visibility and attract guests.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the hotel premises.
Participate in regular meetings with department heads to discuss operational issues and improvements.
Support all areas of the hotel when required.
Taking food orders, waiting on, taking payments.
Requirements
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hotel or hospitality environment is essential.
Strong background in guest services with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of human resources practices is advantageous.
Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to cater to diverse guests.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of hotel management.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
