Job Description

We are seeking a polite and diligent Night Porter to work on a 4 days ON and 4 days OFF shift pattern.

Due to the location and shift times, applicants should ensure they have a reliable means of transport to reach MK Hotel (MK19?6JU). Currently, there are no buses after 7 pm and the shift starts at 12 am

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a careful, considerate approach to tasks. You should be capable of working independently, without supervision while following instructions accurately. If you are a dedicated and hardworking professional, we warmly encourage you to apply. The hotel is currently operating in collaboration with the UK government, and currently this role primarily involves overseeing the hotel premises at night and completing tasks outlined in the Night Porter checklist. Some of the key responsibilities include:

Monitoring the hotel premises during the night shift. Ensuring fire exits and corridors are clear of obstructions. Carrying out cleaning of public areas and ensuring the hotel grounds are well maintained. Sending out the correct handover email for colleagues on the next shift. Completing any additional duties assigned by management.

Working Days/Hours:

This role follows a

4 days ON / 4 days OFF

shift pattern, primarily covering the

12:00 am to 8:00 am

shift. As we publish a monthly rota, you will be aware of your scheduled shifts in advance.

Pay: 13.00 to 13.50 per hour

Qualifications:

Previous hotel or night shift experience is preferred but not essentials. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations. Basic computer literacy.
