The role
Having recently re-opened we are now looking for a friendly and energetic
Receptionist to join our small front of house team and help ensure our guests have a memorable experience with us from booking to check-out.
Working a mix of morning and afternoon / evening shifts you will have a range of responsibilities supporting the everyday operation of the reception / office functions of the hotel, the principal duties including:
Interacting politely and enthusiastically with all guests, ensuring they receive our hallmark friendly and efficient service
Conducting check-ins and check-outs
Preparing bills using our PMS and processing and reconciling payments
Assisting guests with their requests, enquiries and itinerary planning
Taking and managing reservations by telephone and email
Ensuring all front office administrative processes are carried out in an orderly and efficient manner
Moving and storing luggage when requested
Keeping the reception areas of the hotel tidy and presentable at all times
Opera experience preferable
In addition to a standard 37.5 hour week spread over 5 shifts, there is scope to earn overtime.
Who we're looking for
We want a pro-active, experienced Receptionist with a calm, organised approach who brings great people skills, a cheerful disposition and a flexible, can-do attitude. We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:
Ideally at least one year of experience in a similar role in a high quality hotel
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Brilliant at dealing with the public with a good knowledge of London
A great communicator, with excellent writing skills and a confident telephone manner
Proficient with IT, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Experience working with a property management system (PMS) and OTA extranets such as Booking.com and Expedia
Excellent attention to detail to ensure our high standards are maintained
