Overview

The Bay Hotel, Southwold is seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team.

The position is part time, various shifts available:

Monday to Thursday: 5pm to 9pm

Friday to Sunday: 2:30pm to 7:30pm

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude. Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring all guest information is accurately recorded. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, providing solutions to enhance their experience. Maintain knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and events to assist guests effectively. Process reservations via phone, email, or in-person while ensuring accuracy in bookings. Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for guests. Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when answering calls and responding to guest requests. Assist with administrative tasks as required, including managing correspondence and maintaining records.

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly desirable. Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for visitors. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for this role. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
