About us



The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA) is an award-winning British charity based in London and established in 2001 with a long history of delivering advice, support and integration support for refugees and asylum seekers across the UK. ACAA was founded by Dr Nooralhaq Nasimi, who arrived as a refugee in the back of a refrigerated container with his young family in 1999. The charity has steadily grown and is now the largest Afghan diaspora-led charity in the UK, with 4 offices across the UK - Hounslow, Harrow, Birmingham and Liverpool.

We have recently started

Hounslow Taekwondo Academy,

a martial arts school dedicated to teaching Taekwondo, self-defence, and sport-style training to students of all ages and abilities. Known for its disciplined yet friendly environment, the academy focuses on developing confidence, fitness, respect, and technical skill in every student

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Taekwondo Instructor to join our newly-established Hounslow Taekwondo Academy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging coaching sessions, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring participants to achieve their personal best. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to make a meaningful impact within our organisation. The position is paid and suitable for those committed to professional development and promoting active lifestyles.

Responsibilities



Design and deliver customised coaching programmes tailored to participants' skill levels and goals Lead training sessions with enthusiasm, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants Provide constructive feedback to help individuals improve their techniques and performance Organise group activities, competitions, and workshops to enhance engagement Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and programme outcomes Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork Stay informed about the latest coaching techniques and industry best practices Collaborate with colleagues to develop new programmes and initiatives that promote physical activity

Qualifications



Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching roles, demonstrating strong organisational skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications are desirable but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected Passionate about promoting health, fitness, and active lifestyles Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment Flexibility to adapt sessions based on participant needs and feedback

Teaching Hours may increase subject to demand and interest from students.



Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week

Work Location: In person
