THE ROLE
The post holder will deliver teaching in a variety of different learning environments and use a variety of teaching styles and approaches, including all levels of undergraduate study and, where appropriate, postgraduate study. The post holder will offer both academic and pastoral feedback and support to students to the highest professional standards. The postholder will also be required to develop internal and external collaborative relationships and to contribute to programme developments, teaching and assessment related (but not exclusively) to Computing (e.g. Ethical Hacking, Usability engineering, Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Network Security and Digital Forensics).
Main duties will include but not limited to:
  • Deliver teaching, learning and assessments
  • Provide support to students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level of study
  • Deliver teaching and learning strategies in a variety of contexts using appropriate and engaging teaching and learning styles, within an established programme of study
  • Be involved in the design and development of high-quality teaching and learning material, sharing information/material on the University's VLE, develop strategies for assessments, and develop assessment criteria
  • Supervise the work of students in a timely, professional and supportive manner
  • Offer appropriate advice, feedback, support, and encouragement to students
REQUIREMENTS
You should have:
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Proven track record of working in/with a range of relevant applied professional settings
  • Previous experience of teaching and supervision at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
  • Experience (min two years) of working in the UK HE relevant sector at appropriate level
  • Ability to work across different teams and take the lead on strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrable commitment to equality and diversity in working practices
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet role requirements
  • Experience of academic programme administration and management

FURTHER INFORMATION
This role has flexible hours across the weekday and weekend. Hours are allocated prior to each term (October, February, June) based on the HPL's availability and the Campus's timetabling needs.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship in line with Home Office salary threshold requirements
Closing date: 7th August 2025, at 11:59pm.
43 per hour plus a holiday entitlement of 18.03%
