Kingston University's Education Liaison and Outreach team is seeking enthusiastic and committed Saturday Club Tutors to join our student-focused team within the Students Directorate.
Kingston University aims to create an institution which is accessible, welcoming, and relevant for young people from all backgrounds. The University also aims to create opportunities for young people to gain new skills and explore a subject they love. As part of this mission, we host a weekly Saturday morning Science and Engineering club for young people aged 13-16yrs. The club provides a platform for young people to learn new skills, explore future careers, be inspired by the University's cutting-edge facilities and to socialise with their peers. The club is part of the UK-wide National Saturday Club Network.
The University is seeking two skilled facilitators to lead the 2026 season of the Science and Engineering Saturday Club, utilising the resources and facilities available across the university. The club is based at our Penrhyn Road Campus in Surbiton, just 40 minutes by train from Central London. The tutors will be expected to design and deliver interesting and informative sessions for young people aged 13-16 years, covering a range of different STEM subjects. The Club Tutors will also work with staff to organise and deliver trips away from the University to support Club Members to build their science capital.
The sessions will last 2 hours, with set up and take down around these times, and will take place on a weekly basis during term-time from January 24th 2026 - 11th July 2026. The Tutor will need to be available for all the sessions. The Tutor will develop a positive working relationship with the young people as they support them through the 16-week programme.
