Job Opportunity: Freelance / Part-Time Technician - Eco-Home Design & Planning Apps

Cherish Homes (www.cherishhomes.co.uk) as a specialist self build eco-home provider, providing a full service including house design, pre-application and for planning applications, house quotation and supply and project management to make self build homes as simple as possible. We are leading the way in delivery of factory built homes that are of exceptional quality and compare fantastically with the more traditional simple mass market housing from the national housebuilders. We design amazing homes that are energy-efficient, superb value for money, quick to deliver and the highest of qualities. Our homes come with air-source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery, triple glazing and much more.

We are currently working on around 40 bespoke new homes, each tailored for private homebuyers creating their own dream home on a managed self-build basis. As a leading and almost unique modern developer, Cherish provides end-to-end support including planning applications, fixed-price house construction, and custom house designs. Our mission is to make self-building achievable, sustainable, much simpler and inspiring.

The Role:

Collaborate with our growing team to develop detailed technical drawings and designs for Dan-Wood manufactured eco-homes. (see www.dan-wood.co.uk) Work on unique, client-led projects where no two homes are the same. Contribute to a growing pipeline of exciting projects with real-world impact. Part time or freelance.

About You:

Strong technical drawing and design skills, with residential housing experience. Knowledge of sustainable building practices is a plus. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team. Enthusiastic about innovation and supporting self-build clients. Working directly with our Senior Technician and our Architectural Director (RIBA).
