Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role requires a strong commitment to high standards of cleanliness and customer service, making it essential for the candidate to possess excellent organisational skills and a positive attitude.

Duties

Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure they meet established cleanliness standards. Change bed linens and towels, ensuring fresh supplies are always available. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism. Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and personal items. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when stock is low. Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.

Requirements

Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred. Experience in a hotel environment is advantageous but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests. Basic cooking skills are a plus for assisting in kitchen areas when required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
