Day and Hours

5 out of 7 days - Approx. 4/5 hours per day between 9:00am and 3:00pm

General Purpose

Responsible for cleaning Hotel Rooms and Public areas to a high level of cleanliness to provide tidy and sanitary amenities to guests.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

Wiping and polishing fixtures in public areas

Vacuuming, dusting, mopping all public areas

Cleaning bar areas thoroughly

Cleaning assigned guestrooms in accordance with company standards (changing bed linen, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting etc)

Replenishing amenities and supplies in assigned guestrooms

Wiping all glass and mirrors

Linen stock take and sorting of all clean and dirty linen

Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping

Report to Reception/Maintenance needed repairs or unsafe conditions

Greet and acknowledge guests

Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements

Always follow established safety procedures. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behaviour to the supervisor or manager

Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures

Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

Education, Skills and Experience

Basic reading, writing, and math skills Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and ability to push/pull medium to large weights/objects Frequently standing up and moving about the hotel Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the hotel Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling Able to work alone as well as being a team member

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
