PURPOSE & DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a strong, dependable Housekeeping Manager to lead our hospitality team in providing excellent service to our guests and strong leadership to our housekeeping department. As Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for your Deputy and team of supervisors, room attendants, public area cleaners and porters. You will work directly with the General Manager of the hotel to meet their requirements for room turnover rate.

Head Housekeeper requirements will include:

A strong character with experience leading teams in a time-bound manner. Worked within a management capacity in the hospitality/housekeeping industry or a similar customer service sector Excellent people management skills, including basic HR knowledge, experience in recruitment and building a team, onboarding and training. Excellent knowledge of rostering along with understanding and controlling budgets A high level of attention to detail and demonstrate high levels of quality Hands-on approach is needed to support the front-line team Flexible working hours, including weekends depending on business needs Self-starter qualities, ambitious, passionate, a natural leader

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR IDEAL CANDIDATE:



Provide leadership, support and motivation to the housekeeping team and ensure we maintain high standards of excellence Staff training (induction, health & safety, security, technical & behavioural) Health & Safety management - Complying with company procedures and twice-yearly Safety Risk Audits. Security - This includes compliance with HR procedures i.e., work permits & ID etc. Key security, guest security and lost property procedures Financial control - Room Attendant productivity, Supervisory hours, and weekly budget control Management procedures i.e., room audits, job of the day, periodical cleaning tasks etc. House-keeping Office presentation. Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and ensuring staff are all polite, courteous and look after guests needs Manage staff in line with the business needs, and costs within the department Manage the stock control of all cleaning products, chemicals, and laundry.

Pay: 35,000.00 to 38,000.00 per year
