Job Description

Role of the Housekeeping Manager in conjunction with the Head of Housekeeper(s):



Facilitating the smooth running of the Housekeeping Department. Responsible for managing the team of housekeepers / room attendants to ensure high levels of cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Managing inventories and liaising with suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained including laundry, cleaning materials and guest supplies. Managing stock taking, budgeting and other relevant paperwork such as maintenance reports and safety audits. Preparing rotas and co-ordinate staff levels in the department according to business needs.

Maintain the laundry room ensuring a clean and tidy environment. Ensure that all hotel standards are met in terms of with quality, cleanliness, health and safety and business needs.


Experience / Skills of the Housekeeping Manager:




Minimum of 2 years' experience in housekeeping management or supervisory for a similar quality establishment role is required.

Proven people management experience, including managing performance, training and development. Good interpersonal and leadership skills including communication and team building. Excellent customer service skills. Experience of working with multiple departments to achieve results. Excellent attention to detail

Basic computer literacy is helpful, or a willingness to learn, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and hospitality software. An awareness of Health and Safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance within the team. Strong team working ethic with the capability to take responsibility for the team. Works well under pressure.

Working Hours:






Full-time 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 (including weekends) approximately 07:00am to 15:00pm.
