We are seeking a housekeeping manager to oversee our housekeeping department. Key responsibilities include supervising and training staff, creating work schedules, conducting inspections, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Core responsibilities:
Staff management: Train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff.
Operations management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including the cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas. Coordinate with other departments, such as front office.
Quality control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and standards are consistently met.
Inventory: Manage the stock of cleaning supplies, chemicals, linens, and other equipment.
Required skills and qualifications
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and be flexible, including weekends.
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Previous experience in housekeeping leadership is preferred.
