The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the property. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, responsible for overseeing daily operations, training staff, and maintaining a welcoming and well-kept environment across all guest and public areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including holiday lets and wedding accommodation, public spaces, laundry, and storage areas.
Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain consistent standards of cleanliness and service.
Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage for operational needs.
Conduct regular inspections of properties and public areas to ensure standards are met.
Manage inventory to ensure timely ordering of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
Handle guest requests and complaints relating to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new housekeeping staff.
Maintain records related to housekeeping operations, including timekeeping, stock control, and performance.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial housekeeping role, ideally within hospitality or events.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining standards.
Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively across departments.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Proficient in basic computer systems and housekeeping software (if applicable).
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

Pay & Benefits:
30-40 hours per week - Wednesday to Sunday
Employed 13.00 - 15.00 per hour equivalent dependant on age and experience
