Killean Farmhouse (Bed & Breakfast) & Cottages, Inveraray, Scotland

Wage:

14.50 per hour

Hours:

Flexible, five days out of seven (including weekends, but not every week)

Shift Times:

Approximately 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Additional Work:

Optional food service shifts (breakfast/dinner) available

Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Operative to join our team at Killean Farmhouse & Cottages in Inveraray. This role plays a key part in ensuring that our guest accommodation maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Working as part of a friendly and professional team, you will be responsible for cleaning the bed & breakfast and self-catering cottages, ensuring all areas are welcoming and well-maintained for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all guest rooms, cottages, and communal areas, ensuring they are presentable and welcoming at all times. Change bed linens, make beds, and restock essential items such as toiletries and towels. Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently, stored properly, and maintained in good condition. Report any maintenance or safety issues to management for prompt resolution. Assist guests with inquiries or special requests, providing a friendly and professional service. Assist with food service shifts (breakfast/dinner) if interested, ensuring the delivery of excellent guest experiences during mealtimes. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout their stay.

Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred, but not essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to clean to the highest standards. Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have own transport due to the rural location of the property. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays, as needed. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and take on challenges as they arise.
