Purpose of the role
The Housekeeping Supervisor, based at our Grove House Hotel, is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are consistently cleaned and maintained to meet brand standards and guest expectations. The supervisor leads and motivates the housekeeping team, coordinates daily activities, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Main duties include but are not limited to:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards.
Perform cleaning duties when necessary, including guest rooms, public areas, and emergency situations requiring immediate attention.
Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure high performance.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen; place orders as needed to maintain stock.
Develop and manage cleaning schedules to ensure timely and efficient room turnover.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all cleaning operations.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Front-Desk, Maintenance) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, room inspections, and cleaning activities.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year hotel or serviced apartment housekeeping experience
Compensation
26,500 per annum for 40 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks)
33 days including Bank Holidays
