Hours of Work -
20 hours per week. Monday to Thursday.
We are looking for an administrator with a business focus, a keen eye for detail and an ability to manage a varied workload including rent account spreadsheets, regular correspondence, chasing background checks for accommodation applicants and checking that quality standards are being upheld.
You will be joining our accommodation team, working closely with our Housing Manager to achieve set targets.
You will have relevant experience and an ability to work accurately and at pace where needed, in a role with direct responsibility for young people finding and retaining a home with us.

Hours of Work
Five paid hours daily, Monday to Thursday, between 9am and 4pm (set hours to be decided by the successful candidate).
Please note that this is an
on site
position, based in our Wood Street accommodation project, and is not currently available for remote / home working due to the nature of the work.
Alternative hours may be needed occasionally to cover training days or staff meetings notified in advance.
Job Purpose
To be responsible for a range of monitoring and standards systems, administering the collection of housing rent income and ensuring that all recording is in accordance with set procedures.
Main Responsibilities
To administer supported accommodation rent collection records in accordance with YMCA Doncaster's policy.
To administer all applications for accommodation including addressing incomplete applications, obtaining references and risk information from external professionals, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded, and to schedule interviews.
To meet clients and applicants as necessary to discuss issues relating to applications, arrears, payment plans and similar landlord matters.
To issue warnings relating to payments and other landlord matters in accordance with procedures.
To maintain awareness of individual clients' benefit claims, due dates and sanctions.
To share information about allocations and/or throughput with the local authority and specified others as required.
To ensure that personal information is shared with applicants, clients and third parties only in accordance with the association's data protection arrangements.
To ensure compliance through record audits, and to deal with designated matters arising from audits including correction and instruction of staff at various levels.
To accurately collect and produce data relating to a range of performance indicators.
To provide regular financial and other reports as required.
To manage bookings for the Housing Manager's client assessment meetings as required.
To contribute to drawing together evidence relating to quality systems.
To develop and maintain appropriately professional relationships with members, users and with other staff, and to maintain absolute confidentiality at all times.
To represent senior staff and the Association positively in all relationships, both internal and external.
To work within the policies and procedures of YMCA Doncaster, and to contribute to their development.
Other reasonable duties as required from time to time by the Line Manager.
Person Specification -
Please ensure that your application clearly demonstrates how you meet each of the criteria below.
Experience of managing a varied workload effectively and efficiently without close line-management, including experience of working to a daily, weekly and monthly routine with scope for interruptions where necessary.
A business-like focus, prioritising maximising occupancy and rent collection.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy when inputting data and creating reports.
Able to be assertive and tenacious, and to use that ability on a daily basis when chasing information via telephone and email.
Comfortable working with financial records, transactions and calculations.
Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel to a high standard.
Able to work within organisational procedures.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate well with colleagues, as well as customers or clients with complex needs and / or challenging behaviours.
Experience of maintaining confidentiality and appropriate relationships, and a clear understanding of the importance of those.
Able to work to the Vision and Values of YMCA Doncaster.
Able to represent the Association positively, professionally and with credibility.
