We are looking to appoint a Housing Advice Officer to join our team.

We are looking for someone who has excellent housing knowledge, excellent customer skills and is a team player. The ideal candidate will be resilient and have experience working in a busy environment. The ability to prioritise workload is key to this role.

The post holder will be responsible for preventing homelessness and discharging the Council's statutory duties towards homeless persons. The role ensures delivery of an accessible and comprehensive housing advice service to the general public. Working within the team, assisting the Senior Housing Advice Manager in the delivery of these services.

For the role, we ask that you have:

A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, HNC in Housing. Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write letters and prepare case reports/interview notes. Proven experience in social housing.
