Overall job purpose
To supervise staff in preventing homelessness across the Island through a wide range of interventions, innovation and support and offer peer support on complex cases
To promote a strong working relationship with Adult and Children's services, the health board and third sector organisations to encourage resident independence and resilience
To lead on the Mental Health Pathway in regards to preventing homelessness for customers who face mental health challenges
To lead on the bi-weekly Housing Link meetings with Adults and Childrens' services, ensuring a consistent approach to providing support to individuals with a housing need and face physical challenges
To supervise a team of Housing Assessment Officers through supervision, appraisals and coaching, day to day support, advice and guidance
To continuously improve and develop the homelessness function and manage performance on a daily basis
To reduce operational and corporate risks through management interventions and approaches
