This role provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with council officers, elected representatives and stakeholders to support the delivery of affordable housing in the West Suffolk Council area.
We are looking for a candidate to help develop the council's affordable housing delivery program working with a small team. You will support the team to deliver successful housing development projects to timescale, budget, meet the required quality standard and deliver the agreed performance targets.
What you will need:
The successful candidate should, ideally, have experience in: Delivering projects and broad knowledge of housing, specifically affordable housing
Excellent customer service skills
Experience of speaking to elected members
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address issues related to property maintenance, tenant disputes, and compliance
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and contracts
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will undertake a housing qualification dependent on current experience and qualifications.
