As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Housing & Possessions Litigation Manager to lead our Housing and Possessions team.
Person Description:
We are seeking an individual of strong character and exceptional qualities to take on a leadership role within our Housing and Possessions team. This position requires not only legal expertise but also the ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a team of junior fee earners. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to lead, ensuring that our team operates efficiently and cohesively while maintaining the highest standards of client service. As a supervisor, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the team's performance, driving results, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation:
Manage a caseload of Housing Disrepair Claims and Possessions Claims (both for Claimants and Defendants), with a strong focus on litigated cases.
- Supervision:
Provide guidance and supervision to a small team of junior fee earners, ensuring high standards of work and professional development.
- Oversee a team handling Housing Disrepair and Possessions matters, ensuring strict deadlines are met and compliance with all relevant protocols and court rules are maintained.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering excellent customer service consistently.
- Drive performance by meeting and exceeding quarterly and monthly targets.
- Ensure meticulous documentation and timely updates within the case management system.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Extensive experience in litigating Housing Disrepair Claims and handling all aspects of Possession Claims such as defending them in addition to instigating them.
- Proven track record of managing a substantial caseload independently.
- Prior experience in supervising or mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, Housing Act 1988, Defective Premises Act, Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Housing Act 2004.
- Proficient in IT and experienced with case management systems.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Schedule:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm

- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Significant experience in litigating Housing Disrepair and Possessions Claims (required).
- Immediate start preferred, or within 3 months.
