23,500 - 28,500 (Dependent on Experience)

Hours of work:

37.5 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm)

What the successful candidate will look like

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate great knowledge and who can undertake a range of matters from initial instruction through to conclusion with little or no supervision. Full training will be provided to the ideal candidate if necessary.

The successful candidate will play an active role in building and maintaining client relationships and will be jointly responsible for a mixed caseload of matters ranging from small claims to fast track.

The ideal candidate will try to have at least 18 months of experience in a similar legal role, organisational and verbal/written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and to adhere to deadlines.

Experience with a legal case management system, the MOJ and OIC portals preferred but not necessary.

The Rochdale office currently comprises of a small, but very welcoming, workforce where you will be working alongside your supervisor and a Partner of the firm which in turn offers excellent long-term career progression. This is a dynamic workplace environment handling a varied mix of work for a range of different clients from a straight forward road traffic accident claims to far more complex high value large loss claims.

Nature of work

Successful candidates will advise on a range of matters from small claims to fast track claims. This will include everything from maintaining client expectations and carrying out initial investigations to inputting key data on the OIC portal system and drafting client and court documents.

They will also have the opportunity to work with more experienced lawyers, in order to build their experience of more technical, high-value files.
